Russ Lofland of Louisiana, was the drummer
and was influenced by music from a young age. Listening to his
mother play piano was an early musical experience. Having 2 older
brothers that were great music fans subjected him to the best
Pop & Rock artists from the 70s and 80s. Russ played drums in a Jazz band during his school years. This was his first experience of performing in front of a crowd ("I was hooked immediately", Russ says). He spent the next 12 years mastering his skills by playing in various bands in the Shreveport area. Some of his favorite musicians are Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, and Neil Peart of Rush. His drive and enthusiasm on the drums make him a great addition for the unique sound of Paradise Blue. Russ' goals were- to help Paradise Blue reach its ultimate potential. |
